After talking about The Black Order, I started to wonder if maybe we’ll see a version of The Illuminati in the upcoming Avengers films?
Marvel Comics has a secret group of highly intelligent characters that, in the wake of Thanos trying to destroy the universe, have decided what to do with the infinity stones. 
In the comics The Illuminati was
- Iron Man
- Doctor Strange
- Black Panther
- Namor
- Mr. Fantastic
- Beast
- Professor X
- Black Bolt
Now Fox owns Mr. Fantastic, Beast, and Professor X so they can’t be in the movie. I doubt they would put Black Bolt in with the Inhumans coming to television and I don’t know what they have planned for Namor. 
Even with a lot of those characters not being able to be in the movie it can still be done. You could have it mirror the comic but tweak it a bit. I would have it be that in the aftermath of Infinity War, Iron Man and Dr. Strange put on the gauntlet and try to destroy it. Once they realize they can’t they decide that they need to have these stones no where near each other and put into safe hands. That’s when Iron Man can create The Illuminati and I would have the MCU version consist of
- Iron Man
- Dr. Strange
- Black Panther
- Thor
- Vision
- Bruce Banner
