Gifted movie review

If you’re looking for a movie to pull at your heart strings then this is the movie for you!At first look you would think this was a movie that would be more suitable for lifetime, but this movie is a little bit more than that. This movie is about a man who had custody of his niece who is a mathematical genius. He struggles with how to bring her up. He feels that she needs to have a normal life with other children in public school, while others believe that she needs to be thrown into special schools and only focus on her genius. McKenna Grace is an extraordinary actress. I’ve only ever seen her in Once Upon A Time as young Emma Swan. Which in that show she was only briefly in a few episodes. A really small role so I didn’t know how great of an actress this little girl is! The emotion that this little girl was able to emote is just out of this world! She is definitely going to be a superstar in years to come!Chris Evans performance was also amazing! You believe that he has raised a child in his life. It was nice to see him in a different kind of role than we’re used to seeing him in. I know he has given some emotional performances before like in Snowpiercer but not like the performance he gave in this movie. You can tell that Chris and McKenna had formed an great friendship off camera because it definitely shows in this movie. I also got the vibe that because of the great emotional performance that McKenna gave in this one scene gave Chris the tools he needed to really give the emotion back. All in all I definitely recommend this movie! It’s a great little emotional movie that’s not too sad and has some great heart to it!
