Hidden Figures Review

Wow……..After watching this movie I want to go to every history teacher and tell them that they need to show this movie in class! Everyone needs to know about these “Hidden Figures!” This movie takes you to NASA in the 1960’s where America was trying to beat Russia in sending a man to space. In school I remember learning about the moon landing and Russia beating us to space, but that was usually just the gist of it. There is much more to that story that no one knew about.Everyone needs to know about Katherine G. Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson!Katherine was a mathematical genius and was able to figure out the math to be able to successfully get a man into and back from space! She was also involved in Apollo II! Dorothy Vaughan was able to figure out the IBM system and teach everyone else black and white how to use it. She became the first African American supervisor!Mary Jackson was brilliant and wanted to become an engineer at NASA. In order to do so she had to take a specific class to qualify for the job. Well the only place she could get that education was at an all white school. She went to court and got the judge to grant her acceptance into the school and she became the first female African American engineer! I don’t want to give any spoilers for this movie so I’ll just say that everyone needs to see this story! The performances in this movie by the whole cast is outstanding! These women need to be hidden no more!! I give this movie a 9 out of 10! Please go see it!!

It’s conventional, but still entertaining enough. Nice review.
